The iPad Air is a trully amazing device. It lives closeby to me, within reach, because I use it so often. Unlike the desktop and the laptop which we power off when stop using them, the iPad is always powered on. When finish using the iPad you just close it up like a book. When you want to use it you just open it up and it is there instantly to use.

What do I use it for?
Web browsing, it has Apple's Safari and Google's Chrome web browsers installed. Wikipedia, News, almost everything you want to know that is on the WEB. (Thankyou Sir Timothy John "Tim" Berners-Lee, OM, KBE, FRS, FREng, FRSA, DFBCS (born 8 June 1955).

Electronic mail. I still have a University of Newcastle email address roger.broughton@ncl.ac.uk (14.7.2015), and a login id to the university computing services namely nroger, that is Roger at Newcastle University.

Photos, videos.

Facetime. Skype. Connections via Wi-Fi to house Broadband in house and garden, Bluetooth to devices closeby in-room, Cellular mobile connectivity almost everywhere.

In its iPad Smart Case the whole weighs 700grams, the iPad alone wighs 495 grams.

On the central panel of the case I have listed some of its features.

It is just a 1.4GHz processor speed because a faster processor would require the 102mm² chip to be in contact with a heat sink cooled by a fan.

This is the first page of icons.

Swipe of a finger left displays second page.

Another swipe and third page.

This is the rear of the iPad out of its case.

This is the printing at the bottom of the rear view.

The inside of the case.

That is how thick it is just 7.5 mm.
