Each ladder shaped conductor had 30 rungs and could store one bit.
Each tape had two ladders so could store 60 bits.
In this application only 24 of the possible 30 was used.
So each tape stored 48 bits.
There was 64 tapes totalling 3072 bits, or in modern terms 3Kbits.
