Here is a close-up of the edges of the core planes.
Each was engraved with two items of information.
One was a letter followed by 5 digits which is believed to be unique
and the "serial number" of the plane.
The other was 3 digits and as you can see one: 793, is repeated three times.
It is thought this is the identity number of the person who assembled the core plane.
