As I write this in Feburary 2004, I hold in my hand a memory stick of 512MBytes,
weighing 15grams, it cost 90UKP. The half megabyte of core storage
(one thousandth of the memory stick), in 1967 weighed 2720Kg, used 25KVA of electricity,
and cost 330,000UKP.
You can now buy the same size memory stick storing 2GByte.
That is 4 thousand times the capacity.
That is 0.03gram/MByte.
The 1967 memory was 2,473,000gram/MByte.
