LabTrip05

Last updated 19th September 2005
This year the venue is Mungrisdale on Saturday 24th September 2005.

The coach will leave at 8am from Claremont Tower
(picking up others at the Safeway car park at Hexham
not leaving there before 8:32am)
and will drop people off in Mungrisdale (OS grid ref NY 3635 3052)
on the NE map of The English Lakes.

For those travelling by car we will leave from the Mill Inn car park.
(The coach will not be able to get to the car park
but will park nearby.)
They have a website www.the-millinn.co.uk

If there are any problems about your journey my
mobile phone number is 07791341980
and Margie's is 07779819104

Walks will not begin before 10:30am
(for those travelling independently)

Be prepared, weather is unpredictable
see the weather forecast the day before
bring waterproof clothing if there is a chance of rain
stout footware if going offroad
and do take care
you do not want to be a liability to your walking party.
You do not have to bring a map or compass (or GPS navigator)
unless you want to lead a walking party.

The coach fare will be 10 (5 for school children)
(The shortfall is made up by ISS or Computing Science
I have forgotten whose turn it is this year.)

We will eat at The Mill Inn beginning at 6pm.
Please select from the menu
so that we can forewarn the Mill Inn of our needs.

The main eating room at The Mill Inn can accomodate just 30 people
so some will have to eat in the main bar
(or outside if it is warm enough)
which is why we have to limit numbers to 40.
We hope to leave by 7:30pm.

I normally bring my dog with me,
she is a 10 year old Border Collie called Unix.
If anyone has a problem with being near a dog,
please let me know and I will keep her away from you.
(But this year I may not
she has refused to go for a walk in a strange place recently.)
